John C. Yeagle age 97 of Ashland, passed away on June 15, 2019 at Lutheran Village.
Born on November 4, 1921 the son of John E. and Edith V. (Fox) Yeagle he was a resident of Ashland all of his life.
Mr. Yeagle was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving his country during World War Two. He had been employed and retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was also a lifetime member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Mr. Yeagle is survived by one sister, Lucille A. Frey of Portland Oregon and one brother, George P. Yeagle of Lakewood, Colorado.
Preceding him in death are his parents; three sisters, Margaret (Betty) E. Rose, Margery J. Wissler and his sister Virginia. Three brothers also precede him in death, James E. Yeagle, Robert P. Yeagle and Richard J. Yeagle.
John was a seventy year member of the American Legion Post #88. He was also a member of the Ashland Elk’s Lodge #1360.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday June 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Rodney Kreidler officiating at St. Edward Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the St. Edward Church from 10:00 a.m till the time of the funeral mass. Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery with military honors provided by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard.
