Joyce Ann Bradley age 89 of Ashland, went to be with the Lord, on February 20, 2021 at the Brethren Care Nursing Center. Born in Ashland on January 22, 1932 the daughter of Henry Frances and Helen Deloris (Morris) Nalley she had been an Ashland resident all of her life. On November 12, 1950, Joyce was married to Harold E. Bradley who precedes her in death.
Joyce is a life long member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She was also a member of the North End Mother's Club; Homemakers Club and Busy Bee's. She was a graduate of Ashland High School Class of 1950. She also was a member of the Sweet Adeline's Barbershop MidOhio Sound Singing Group where she sang with her sister Ruth Bartley. She enjoyed shopping with her sister Virginia Weaver. Her latest love was watching the Hallmark Channel and doing Crossword Puzzles and an avid reader. Joyce lived in the same house that she was born in for many years.She loved her family very much which includes all of her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law Nancy Carlyle, Sharon Hartsel and friend Mike Geibel, Brenda and Brian Dull, and one sister-in-law Caroline Nalley all of Ashland. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren Julia (James) Carson, Tamara Burdett, Melanie Hershey, Josh (Becky) Hartsel, Jessica (Alan) Hawkins, Melissa Kingman and Dana Daniel, Megan Finley, Erin ( Zach) Lozier, Dakota Huffer and Ryan Dull. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren Daniel, Logan, and Austin Figley. Bailee, Colin and Gracie Burdett. Landon, Serena, and Anastasia Hawkins. Jon and Leland Hershey. Alexis, J.P. and Rylee Kingman. Bradley, Owen, and Ava Hartsel. Kirpatrick Kendall. ...in addition to her husband Harold, she is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Virginia (True) Weaver, Ruth Bartley Harbaugh, and one Brother Charles Nalley. Grandson Sgt. Jonathan Kingman, Selena Hershey.
Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ at 1425 King Road on Thursday February 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rich Pate officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Ashland Cemetery.
It is asked that anyone attending services wear a mask and follow proper social distancing.
