Juanita Kay Brown, age 53, of Polk, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at UH Samaritan Medical Center. She was born October 20, 1967 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Howard and Martha (Deaton) Friend. Kay was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had a love for horses, enjoyed doing puzzles and decorating her house.
On November 1, 1986 Kay married Curtis L. Brown Sr. who survives. Also surviving are her children, Curtis Brown Jr., Mallory (John) Bittle, and Dakota (Chloe) Brown; her grandchildren, Landin Sanders, Carter Brown, Gabriella Shay, Bentlee Shay, Hayden Shay and Elliana Bittle; along with her siblings, Barbara Jennings, Dorothy (Raymond) Ables, Reba (Steve) Thomas, Howard Friend Jr., Rick (Chris) Friend, Kevin Friend, Carolyn (Bill) Pratt, and Joe Ables.
There will be a Celebration of Kay’s Life held at Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. with John Johnson officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10: A.M. until service time on Saturday.
