June L. (Jones) Warnes

June L. Warnes age 93 of Ashland passed away at UH Samaritan Health Center on March 16,2024.

She was born at Samaritan Hospital on June 4, 1930, the daughter of Daniel and Earline (Hastings) Jones. June was a lifelong resident of Ashland County. She was an employee of Faultless Rubber Company before her retirement. She was a member of Amvets Post 96 Auxiliary.

On July 2, 1954, June was married to Forest L. Warnes who passed away on July 12, 2021.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Forest and two daughters, Kimberly Ann Warnes and Joan (Warnes) Gallagher; one brother, Richard Bennett and two sisters; Shirley Larsh and Marjorie Uebel.

Surviving June is one daughter and son in law, Susan (James) Doerfler of Ashland. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Jeffrey Patterson of Bellville; Angela (Kurtis) Cragel of Marblehead and Shannon Gallagher of Ashland as well as Lucas Cragel, her great grandson. In addition, she has a surviving sister Vickie Marcum of Mansfield.

Her family was her greatest joy in life and she loved spending time with them, visiting with them as often as possible.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held in the Ashland Cemetery with Rev. Tom Snyder officiating.
