Kay M. Gibbs age 73 of Ashland, passed away on December 4, 2024 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio on November 20, 1951 the daughter of Kenneth and Thelma (Bond) Horner she was a resident of Ashland County most of her life. Kay was employed at the Brethren Care Nursing Home as the Activity Director before her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed gardening, birding, cross stitch, mowing their yard at home and their yard and neighbors yards at their fishing camp at Lake Erie. She spent many hours walking Gorman Nature Center and other parks in Ashland, Richland and Wayne Counties. She loved to travel with family and friends. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On November 20, 2014 Kay was married to James Gibbs who survives. Also surviving are four children; Paula (Edward) Dillard of Ashland, Ryan (Nichoel) Wickham of Fredricktown and Paul (Shari) Wickham of Hayesville, Kimberly Gibbs of Savannah. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one brother, David Horner of Shelby.
Kay is proceeded in death by her parents and her first husband Danny Wickham.
In keeping with her wishes the family will have a celebration of her life at a later date.
