LaVonne I. (Shoemaker) Cutlip

LaVonne I. Cutlip age 94 of Ashland, passed away at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center on November 27, 2023.

Born in Ashland on July 7, 1929 the daughter of Herman and Florence (Swinehart) Shoemaker, she was a Ashland resident all of her life where she was a homemaker. LaVonne was a member of the Ashland High School graduating class of 1951. She was also a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly Church in Ashland. LaVonne enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading her Bible, fishing and working on crossword puzzles.

On December 25, 1951 she was married to Von J. Cutlip who preceded her in death June 25, 2019.

Surviving are three sons and one daughter; William “Bill” (Sharon) Cutlip of Ashland, Allen (Debra) Cutlip of Ashland, Brandt Cutlip of Ashland and Irene (Donald) Graber of Aitkin, Minnesota. Eleven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive as does one sister Lealia Westwood of California.

In addition to her husband Von, she is preceded in death by her parents and one son Leland Cutlip.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 1, 2023 at 11:00 am at Heyl Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Tracy officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 at the funeral home.
