Lee Edward Friend

Lee Edward Friend age 75, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center.  He was born May 7, 1945 in Ashland the son of the late William and Beulah (Friend) Farner.  Lee had been a lifelong resident of Ashland.  He had been employed with the City of Ashland in the Sanitation Department for 17 years.  Lee had been a volunteer with the Salvation Army.  He enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo. 

Survivors include his brother, David Farner of Navarre, OH, his sisters, Mary (Danny) Shank of Ashland, and Peggy Butler of Ashland; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Szabo and Nancy Heath.

Graveside services will be held at Nankin Cemetery on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating.
