LUCILLE M. SCHWARTZWALDER, BELOVED MOTHER & GRANDMOTHER
Lucille M. Schwartzwalder, age 81 of Jeromesville, OH., passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday, December 29, 2011. On April 30, 1930 in Ashland, OH., Mrs. Schwartzwalder was born to the late Ernest and Gladys (Gott) Bricker. While she worked several jobs outside of the home from time to time, her primary and most important role was that of wife, mother, and grandmother. She had been a resident of Ashland Co. all of her life working as a teachers aid at Montgomery School and a homemaker. Mrs. Schwartzwalder was a faithful member of the Ashland Worship Center (Church of God) where she sang in the choir and trio, and in the Willing Workers-Ladies Group.
On May 5, 1951, Mrs. Schwartzwalder married Clarence A. Schwartzwalder who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Lou and Sam Minten of Nashville, TN., Barbara and Robert Harbaugh of Jeromesville; two sons: Daryl Schwartzwalder of Jeromesville and David Schwartzwalder of Ashland; 13 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; two sisters: Pauline Beka of Mansfield, OH., and Betty and Ralph Wamack of Ashland; four sisters-in-law: Anna Bricker, Edna Bricker, Wynona Schwartzwalder, and Nellie DeLancy. Mrs. Schwartzwalder was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Jane and five brothers: Earnest Jr., Melvin, Paul, Harold, and Don Bricker.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Ashland Worship Center, 1420 Cottage St., Ashland, OH., with Pastor Ted Mason officiating. Interment will be at Ashland Co. Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, OH. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, OH., 44805.
