Malinda Mae Baum age 93 formerly of Galion, Ohio was released from her earthly body and received into the arms of Jesus her Savior on June 28, 2024 at Arbors of Mifflin Nursing Home in Mansfield.
Born in Apple Creek Ohio on July 25, 1930 the daughter of Jonas A. Hostetler and Lizzie Miller. Malinda had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide and she had also previously owned and operated the Evans Family Restaurant in Wooster, Ohio in the 1960's. She was one of fourteen children.
She was married to Benjamin B. Baum on August 26, 1978. Benjamin preceded her in death Feb 11, 2000.
Survivors include four daughters; Josephine (Brent) Gress, Paula (George) Ross, Linda Clow and Sally Baum. Also surviving are grandchildren; Carrie Gress, Benjamin Ross, Joseph (Bonnie) Ross, James (Kathrine) Ross, Christopher (Shelly) Clow, Brandy Lambert, Tiffany (Noah) Matheny and Erika Baum.
In addition to her husband Benjamin, she is preceded in death by her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
