Marcene Eva (Horner) Stuetzer

Marcene Eva (Horner) Stuetzer age 93 of Medina, passed away on May 21, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Born in Wadsworth Ohio on April 7, 1928 the daughter of Enos and Elta (Rock) Horner she had been a Ashland resident since 1946. She was the sister of Donna (Horner) Beal and Earl Horner. On September 21, 1947 she was married to her husband Herbert (Jim) Stuetzer, to whom she was married to for 59 years.

She was a 1946 Graduate of Wadsworth High School and a 1981 graduate of Ashland College. She had previously been employed at Faultless Rubber Company, Hillsdale Schools and retired from Ashland College in 1987.

Marcene became a member of the Ashland Chapter of Eastern Star in 1948. She held many offices throughout her long membership. Playing the organ was her passion.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Vargo of Madison, Ohio and Melanie Tallmadge of Loudonville. Also surviving are grandson; Aaron (Nicky) Tallmadge; great grandsons, Lucas and Bo Tallmadge all of Jeromesville. Her sister Donna Beal; sister in law, Barbara Horner of Wadsworth and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband Herbert (Jim) Stuetzer she is preceded in death by her parents; two sons in law, Randy Tallmadge, Jerry Vest; grandson Bryan Tallmadge; brother Earl Hroner and brother in law Larry Beal.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 27, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star Service at 6:00 p.m. following the visitation time.

A private burial will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
