Marjorie M. (Garn) Bowerize

Marjorie M. Bowerize age 87, of Antioch, TN., formerly of Ashland, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born July 17, 1934 in Jeromesville, the daughter of the late Syleanus and Alta (Bower) Garn. Marjorie was a Homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking walks with her husband, dining out and making ice cream with her family every Sunday.

On September 19, 1953 Marjorie married Richard “Dick” L. Bowerize who preceded her in death in 2012. Survivors include her children, Norma J. (George) Young of Hayesville, Rick L. Bowerize of Ashland, Barb (Coulson) Barfield of Pensacola, FL., and Jenny Bowerize of Antioch, TN.; her 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandson; her sister, Roma Morgan of Ashland; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parent and husband Dick, Marjorie was preceded in death by her sister and 4 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Wednesday September 8,2021 at 11:00 a.m.with Pastor Keith Pruner officiating. Burial will follow at Reedsburg Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home..
