Marlene R. (Kolb) Shire

Marlene R Shire, 73 of Mifflin died Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born on August 31, 1951 the daughter of Charles Kolb and Wilma (Kline) Halladay. Marlene and her late husband, Dave, were motorcycle enthusiasts and spent many years riding together. Marlene and Dave supported and gave generously to the Disabled American Veterans organization as well as many animal causes.

She is survived by her brother, Karl (Carol) Kolb of Jupiter, Florida, stepson, Matt (Laurie) Shire of Columbus, Ohio, nephew Matt (Laurie) Kolb of Allegany, NY and three great nieces: Adelyn (Dominick) Winnard of Clarksville, TN, Hayden Kolb and Lindsey Kolb of Allegany, NY.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Carol and her loving husband, David Shire.

No funeral services will be held. Donations to Kingston of Ashland may be made for their exceptional care of Marlene over the past years.
