Marvene M. (Hammack) Sheets

Marvene Mae Sheets, age 91 of Ashland and recently Greenwich, Ohio passed away on Thursday December 24, 2020.
Born in Lancaster, Ohio on August 6, 1929 the daughter of Russell and Esther (Holland) Hammack. She had been an Ashland County resident most of her life where she was a homemaker.

On November 8, 1947, Marvene was married to Walter L. Sheets who precedes her in death.

Survivors include three sons and daughters in law; John (Debbie) Sheets of Ashland, James (Diane) Sheets of Greenwich and Joseph (Cindy) Sheets of Ashland. Nine grandchildren; Fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

In addition to her husband Walter she is preceded in death by siblings, Mercedes, Howard and Doris. One great grandson, Vinton Breedlove also precedes her in death.

Marvene loved collecting Teddy Bears and at one time had close to 400 bears, she also loved reading until Macular Degeneration prohibited her from doing so. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, and old series like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
She was a strong believer in Christ and set a spiritual example for her family.

It was her request that there be no flowers at her funeral.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ashland Cemetery.
