Mary K. Oxender age 95, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Brethren Care Village. She was born June 6, 1924 in Crestline, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Hoover) Thompson. Mary had been employed with Garber’s for 15 years and later retired from the Columbus Bank Note after 15 years.
Marry married Marlowe Oxender in 1963; he preceded her in death in 1985. Survivors include her daughter Marlene Schuler of Florida; her sisters, Marjorie Gray, and Beverly (David) Dull both of Ashland; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her daughters, Suzanne McQuillen, Nicki Gray, Janet Miller, and Beverly Clark; her sons, Mickey McQuilen, Rickey McQuillen and Robert Miller; her brothers, Donald Thompson and Charles Thompson; and her sisters, Dorothy Mielke, Betty Miller and Kathy Nelson.
There will be graveside services held at Polk Cemetery on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the Ashland Co. Dog Shelter 1710 Garfield Ave. Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to Hospice of North Central Ohio 1050 Dauch Dr. Ashland, Ohio 44805.
