Mary Mae Tucker, age 99, of Reynoldsburg, OH., formerly of Ashland, passed away Monday November 21, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 3, 1922 in Ashland, the daughter of Benjamin and Mabel (Mann) Graber. Mary had been employed with General Motors building planes during WW II, she and other women were known as “Rosie the Riveter”. She was also a Homemaker. Mary was a very gifted Artist, with many of her painting being in Ashland Churches. Mary was a very faithful person putting God first in her life. She was a very genuine, giving, loving person who enjoyed life. She lived life giving to others. She enjoyed thrift store shopping mostly for things others would enjoy or need. Mary and her husband, Paul attended several churches that she was active with from being a Sunday School Teacher to a bus driver. Mary and Paul ran a radio ministry that involved her family. She took pride in memorizing many Bible Verses. Mary enjoyed music and singing especially Elvis. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter Beverly. She was a member of Clowns of America. Mary was proud of her great grandmother’s heritage being a Black Foot Indian.
On October 10, 1936 Mary married Paul D. Tucker who preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include son, David Tucker of Ashland; her daughters, Terry Kitchen of Ashland, Sondra Mays of Mansfield, Paula (Rudy) Riviera of Texas, Beverly Tucker- Kool of Reynoldsburg and Jessica Tucker of Ashland; 12 grandchildren; along with numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Paul, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Tucker Sr.; her ½ brother, Charles Leiter and 2 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Travis Mckenzie officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM till service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Hagee Ministries P.O. Box 1400 San Antonio, TX.
