Maxine E. Piper age 92 of Ashland, passed away at her residence on April 20,2025 surrounded by her family.
Born in McKay, Ohio on December 23, 1932 the daughter of Grover C. and Mildred P. (Selders) Williams. She has been a resident of Ashland County all of her life. Maxine was employed at Archway Bakery for many years before her retirement. She was a “crochet fanatic” and made many things for her family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters; JoAnn (Ronald) Myers of Ashland and Carol (Jan) Thomas of Nankin.
Also surviving are six grandchildren; Thomas W. Schaffer II, Anthony Schaffer, Dean (Amanda) Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Tammy Stage and Toby Craft. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Piper; one daughter, Cindy Osborn; one son, David Hauger; two granddaughters, Taffy J. Craft and D’Von Thomas. And all of her many brothers and sisters.
A private family burial will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
