Michael Barnes Obituary

Michael E. Barnes age 64 of Ashland, passed away on May 27, 2021.

Born in Tachikawa, Japan on April 5, 1957, the son of Billy H. and Ruth (Conley) Barnes, he was a Ashland County resident most of his life.

Michael was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He was employed at Schoonover Industries.

Michael is survived by his fiancee Renee Waugaman and his mother Ruth Barnes. Also surviving are children; Michael W. Barnes of St. Clairsville, A.J. Barnes of Ashland, Zechariah Barnes of Wills Point Texas, Cheyenne Barnes of Hilliard, Kelly VanScyoc of Ashland, Nikki Morris of Omaha Nebraska and Bobby Waugaman of Mansfield.

Nine grandchildren and three siblings also survive, Dave Barnes, Steve Barnes and Linda Moore.

Mr. Barnes is preceded in death by his father, Billy H. Barnes.

Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A memorial service in honor of Michael will be held at a later date.
