Michael E. Brooks

Michael E. Brooks, age 54, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born August 17, 1966, in Shelby, Ohio, the son of the late Earl Thomas and Janice Kay (Searls) Brooks. Michael was a 1984 graduate of Shelby High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had been a quality Control Inspector for Hedstrom Plastics which he enjoyed. Michael also enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball, spending time with his family and his 3 fur babies, Asia, Garfield, and Jim Bob, along with fantasy football and baseball.

Michael is survived by his wife, Deborah J. (McCormic) Brooks whom he spent 25 loving years with. Also surviving are his 5 children, Jeremie (Amanda) Mosher of Ashland, Jessica (Shaun) Furlong of Saline, Michigan, Joshuwa Mosher of North Carolina, and Tiffany (Barry Henderson) Brooks of Columbus; his grandchidren, Ian Furlong, Isaac Furlong, Iaethyn Furlong, Iaeston Furlong, Shadorion Henderson, Xavier Brooks, Briella Henderson and Colton Mosher; along with his brother, Rick (Robin) Brooks of Mansfield.

At the request of Michael there will be no funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to his grandson’s baseball organization, 3N2 Hitz Elite 27088 Morelli Dr. Chesterfield, MI 48051. Online condolences are encouraged for the family.
