Opal M. Dennison age 94 of Polk, passed away on December 6, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Center. Born in Ashland on August 6, 1930 the daughter of Marion and Margie (Hartsel) Hauenstein she had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life.
On September 18 ,1948 Opal was married to Hale Dennison who preceded her in death on December 16, 1994.
She had been employed as the office manager for Agri-Mark in Ashland. In her free time she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s activities, reading and bowling.
Mrs. Dennison is survived by two children and one daughter in law; Dan (Sally) Dennison and Lila Hickey all of Polk. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Michelle Hickey, Todd Hickey, Matt (Wendy) Dennison and Mark (Megan) Dennison. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren, one sister and brother in law Linda (Paul) Eichelberger of Wilmington and one brother and sister in law, Larry (Carol) Hauenstein.
In addition to her husband Hale, she is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marvin Hauenstein, son in law, Jeff Hickey and great granddaughter, Elise Bell Hauenstein.
Graveside funeral services will be held at the Polk Cemetery on Saturday December 14, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ed Graves officiating. In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Polk Chuch of Christ, 204 East Congress Street, Polk, Ohio 44866
