Patricia Kopylchak Obituary

Patricia A. Kopylchak nee Braden age 82 of Ashland, passed away Friday October 18, 2024 at UH Samaritan Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

 

She was born on September 26. 1942 in Ashland, Ohio the daughter of Paul and Barbara (nee Alexander) Braden. Pat was a graduate of Ashland High School as a member of the class of 1960. Also in 1960 she married the love of her life, Nicholas Kopylchak. She was a believer in Jesus and attended Park Street Brethren Church.

 

She was a devoted mother to Teri (Joe) Keck of Ashland, Kimberly Kopylchak (Edwin Villafane) of Cleveland and Debra (Jim) Esbenshade of Ashland. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Joshua (Crystal) Keck of Mansfield, Nathaniel Keck (Marcus Drake) of Ashland, Robert Phillips of Butler and Lisa (David) Herbert of Sullivan. Seven great grandchildren also survive; Anthony and Noah Keck of Mansfield; Eric, Kamden and Aaron Helbert of Sullivan and Braden and Kyptin Phillips of Butler. She is also survived by one brother, David (Terri) Braden, one brother in law, Wayne Claypool, many nieces and nephews and a very close friend, Nedra Esbenshade.

 

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Kopylchak in 2018; her parents, Paul and Barbara Braden and a sister, Shirley Claypool.

 

Pat loved to read and color. She also loved flowers and watching the Hallmark Channel and her Christmas movies. She also loved her grand dogs, Thor, Eddie and Harley. She enjoyed going on family trips to Cook Forest, morning coffee and watching deer. Decorating for Christmas was also one of her favorites.

 

Graveside services will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park on Friday October 25, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Nate Bebout officiating.
