Phyllis Frey Obituary

Phyllis N. Frey age 92 of Ashland, passed away on Monday October 24, 2022 at Kingston of Ashland surrounded by her family.

Born on December 22,1929 in Willard, Ohio the daughter of George and Hilda (Bishop) Hieser. She was a graduate of St. Paul Catholic School in Norwalk, Ohio.

On May 11, 1949 Phyllis was marred to her husband of 74 years, Robert L. Frey who preceded her in death on October 4, 2021.

Mrs. Frey is survived by one daughter and son in law, Nancy (Craig) Patterson of Ashland. One daughter in law Heidi (Frey) Clay of Mifflin and six grandchildren; Amanda Kolp of Ashland, Michael (Megan) Frey of Greenwood, Indiana, Sara (Eric) Schmidt of Oak Ridge Tennessee, Lauren Frey of Jackson Hole Wyoming, Katie (Jason) Buehler of Knoxville, Tennessee and Molly Hammersmith of Ashland also survive.

She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert Frey she is preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Michael Frey and Robert E. Frey.

A memorial service celebrating the lives of Robert and Phyllis Frey will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in Phyllis’s name be given to Kindred Hospice, 112 Harcourt Road, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, 43050
