Priscilla "Pat" (Askey) Marker

Priscilla “Pat” Marker age 75, of Ashland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born January 7, 1947 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Frank and Harriette (Younkin) Askey. She had been a resident of Ashland all of her life and was a graduate of Ashland High School. She had been employed with Job & Family Services helping clients with job placement for 20 years before retiring. Pat was passionate about helping others. She was a member of the Ashland Moose Club. She was an avid sports fan including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

On July 11, 1965 Pat married Mike H. Marker who preceded her in death in 2017. Survivors include her sons, Michael S. (Jen Jordan) Marker and Mark A. Marker both of Ashland; her 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; brother, David Askey of Arizona; sister, Ruth (Phil) Shafer of Ashland; along with her step mother, Jane Askey of Ashland.

Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. There will be a private family burial at Ashland County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the Cat House Feline Sanctuary, 1130 E. Main Street #136 Ashland, Ohio 44805. Online condolences may be left for the family.
