Obituary

Raymond L. Howman age 79 of Ashland, passed away at his residence on April 15, 2023.

Born in Ashland on December 2, 1943 the son of Raymond and Mary (Harmond) Howman. He was a Ashland resident all of his life. On June 19, 1965 Raymond was married to Gloria Kratzer who survives. Raymond was a retired Truck Driver with Decker Transportation. He also served in the National Guard for 21 years.

In addition to his wife Gloria, Raymond is survived by four children; Wendy Aronholt of Mansfield, Anthony (Rachel) Howman of Ashland, Timothy Howman of Galion and Christopher (Danette) Howman of Ashland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Shawn Moore, Meranda James, Mchenzie Mathias, Gaige Howman, Kennedie Howman, Rylie Howman, Obadiah Howman, Zephaniah Howman and Christopher Howman Jr. Two great grandchildren and one sister also survive; Amslee Mathias, Ezra Howman and Carolyn Oxender.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, two sister’s Barbara Yeley, Sonia Marshal and one grandson Ezekiel Howman.

He loved fishing and camping and also attending his grandchildren’s soccer games.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren.
