Robert "Bob" G. Jenkins

Robert “Bob” G. Jenkins age 78, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Parma Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1942, the son of Thelma (Hummel) Roberts. Bob had been a lifelong resident of Ashland and was a 1961 graduate of Polk High School. He had been employed as a foreman with A.L. Garber Company for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the Park Street Brethren Church. Bob had been a member of various local clubs. He loved being outdoors and spending time at Lake Erie. Bob’s hobbies included target shooting, photography, and boating. He loved riding bicycles, motorcycles and driving anything from Cars to boats. He was always sure to feed his backyard squirrels.

On January 23, 1965 Bob married Marjorie “Marge” A. Birchett who preceded him in death on December 14, 2020. Survivors include his daughter, Terri Jenkins- King; stepdaughter, Diana Coscia; stepson, Jeff (Michelle) Cline all of Ashland; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his sisters, Sherry Kelly, and Roxanne Schnitzius; and brother, Tim Roberts. In addition to his mother, Thelma and wife Marge, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Dull; and daughter, Chrissy Jenkins.

There will be a private family service at Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Nate Beabout officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
