Robert (Bob) L. Switzer

Robert (Bob) Lee Switzer age 88 of Ashland, passed away on September 26, 2024 at the Good Shepherd Home in Ashland.

Born on November 20, 1935 in Clarion, Pennsylvania the son of Clarence and Virginia (Shorts) Switzer he had been a resident of Ashland County since 1952. Bob had been employed with M&G Drilling and also at Mohican Hills Golf Course. He took great pride in his work at the golf course and he enjoyed being outside.

On July 20, 1958 Bob was married to Janice “Red” Louise McInerney who preceded him in death on August 27, 2021.

Bob is survived by four children; Michael (Pamela Burgett) Switzer of Ashland, Mark (Mary) Switzer of Seville, Brenda (Michael) Simmons of Sandusky and Matthew (Cristiy) Switzer of Ashland.

Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and two brothers; Ronald (Sandy) Switzer of Ashland and Keith (Marilyn) Switzer of Tennessee.

In addition to his wife, Janice.   Bob is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Erin Michaels and sister and brother in law, Betty and Roger Brockway.

Funeral services will be held at the Southview Grace Brethren Church, 810 Katherine Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805 on Monday October 7, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Joel Zook officiating. Friends may visit with the Switzer family from 10:00 am till 11:00 am Monday October 7, 2024 at the Southview Grace Brethren Chuch. Burial will follow at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
