Ronald D. Bilger age 89 of Ashland, passed away on November 25, 2023 at University Hospital St. Johns Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.
Mr. Bilger was born in Nankin, Ohio on August 2, 1934, the son of Robert and Edith (Kysor) Bilger.
Mr. Bilger was a veteran of the United States Army. He was self employed and owner of Ron Bilger Construction. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ashland County Yesteryear Machinery Club. He served Trinity Lutheran as an usher for 63 years as well as having his fingerprints all over the church with various building and remodeling projects. In addition to all his woodworking abilities, he loved to rebuild old hit and miss engines as well as garden tractors and large old John Deere tractors.
On October 7, 1956 Ron was married to Janet Meyers who preceded him in death on August 8, 2020.
Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Kimberly (Steve) Lykins of North Ridgeville, Ohio. Also surviving is granddaughter, Erica (Jake) Stabl of Avon, Ohio and great grandchildren, Jaden and Kaitlyn Stabl. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Janet, Mr. Bilger is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Glenn Bilger, Kenneth Bilger, and one sister Gloria Bilger.
Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday November 30 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kevin McClain officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church.
