Shirley A. (Bresock) Harper

Shirley A. Harper age 85, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at UH Samaritan Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1936 in Bridgeport, OH., the daughter of the late Edward R. and Helen (Payton) Bresock. Shirley had been a resident of the Ashland area since 1959. Shirley had many varied jobs over her life, including as a phone operator before becoming a Homemaker. She was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Shirley enjoyed baking, watching movies, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a very kind, open minded, giving person at would help anyone she could.

On February 28, 1959 Shirley married David R. Harper who preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include her daughter, Judith L. Harper of Ashland; her grandchildren, Jenna Morningdale of Akron and Caitlin Fischer of Ashland; along with her brother, Edward R. Bresock Jr.

In addition to her parents and husband, David, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca L. Sprang.

Graveside services will be held at Ashland Cemetery on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Karen Liddy officiating. Heyl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family.
