Stephen D. “Denny” Lash age 78, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Brethren Care Village. He was born June 19, 1941 in Ashland, the son of the late Donald L. and Jean K. (McMillan) Lash. Denny had been a lifelong resident of Ashland. He was a 1959 graduate of Ashland High School and a 1964 graduate of Ashland College. Denny had been employed as a teacher with Madison Schools from 1964 to 1970, later worked at Lash Litho doing offset printing, was the Owner of Lash furniture Repair and also worked in quality control for Merillat Industries. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge. Denny enjoyed woodworking, golf and fishing on Goulais River in Canada.
On December 4, 1971 Denny married Bonnie Halterman who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Donald Keith D. (Lori) Lash of New Mexico and Kent (Renee’) L. Lash of Summerville, PA.; his grandchildren, Monica Sheree’ Lash, Everett Timothy Lash, Amanda Grace (Joe) Lash, Zachary Dane Lash; his great grandson, Ozias Michael Gonzales; his sisters Deborah L. (David) Teets of Bucyrus and Judith A. (John) Reider of Chardon; his brothers, Terry E. (Connie) Lash of Ashland and Dave L. (Debbie Gail) Lash of Port Clinton; his brother in-laws, Dave (Bonnie) Halterman of Ashland, Arnie (Susan) Halterman of Canton, GA., and Gary (Beverly) Halterman of Ashland; along with many extended families including nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great -great nieces and nephews.
Following Denny’s wishes there will be a private family funeral service held at Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Coggins officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in Denny's memory.
