Steve Walker

Steve Walker age 62, of Ashland, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at UH Samaritan Medical Center.  He was born in Ashland on November 28, 1957, the son of Walter and Betty (Cooper) Walker.  Steve had been a lifelong resident of Ashland and a 1976 graduate of Ashland High School.  He had been employed with Custom Hoist from August 1976 until his retirement in October 2018.  Steve loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, enjoying all family get-together’s   from holidays to family reunions.  Steve enjoyed attending tractor pulls regularly, 37 years in Bowling Green.  He was also an avid sports fan, enjoying all sports and big time wrestling.  Steve was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  Steve and Debbie enjoyed their Saturday mornings at the Lyn-Way meeting friends and family.

On September 1, 1984 Steve married Debbie (Beatty) Walker who survives.  Also surviving are his parents, Walter and Betty Walker of Ashland; his son, Michael Walker of Ashland; daughter, Ashley Walker of Ashland; his grandchildren, Emma Walker and Colton Geary; his brother, Brad (Dana) Walker of Ashland; sister in-law, Midge Walker of Simi Valley, CA.; his father in-law, Ivan Beatty; his niece, Katy (Donnie) McCluggage; along with his nephew, Kyle (Miranda) Walker.

Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Mitch Walker and his mother in-law, Loretta Beatty. 

Due to the current health crisis the family has chosen to have a private family funeral service with Pastor Keith Tyson officiating.  A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date for friends and family.  Memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s memory to the Donor’s choice.  Friends of the family are encouraged to leave online condolences.
