Thomas "Tom" L. Quinn age 92 of Ashland, passed away at his residence on January 24, 2021.
Born in Berlin, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1928 the son of Myron and Mamie (Rose) Queer he was an Ashland County resident since 1956. Mr. Quinn had been employed with the local school systems in Ashland and Hayesville for 15 years. He then was an inspector with General Motors till his retirement in 1990. He was a veteran who served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was also a graduate of Ashland College with a BA in Education. Mr. Quinn was a member of the Park Street Brethren Church, NRA and enjoyed deer hunting and gardening.
On January 2, 1955 he was married to Helen A. Fox who preceded him in death in 2012.
Survivors include three children; Leonard Quinn of Ashland, Roger Quinn (Diane Moritz) of Nashville, Ohio and Annette Quinn (John McClain) of Ashland. Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Also surviving is one brother and one sister; Merle "Pete" Queer of Ashland and Evanelle Fox of Baltimore, Maryland.
In addition to his wife Helen he is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jeremy Quinn and brother John Queer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Travis McKenzie officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am till 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral Home
