Thomas “Tom” L. Bartley, age 81, of Savannah, went home to be with Our Father Tuesday, August 1, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital. He was born April 23, 1942 in Mansfield, to the late William and Ruth (Lantz) Bartley. Tom was a graduate of Hayesville High School, served in the US Airforce in Vietnam, and retired from General Motors. He would help anyone who needed and deeply loved his family, his pets, tinkering in his garage and his hobbies of fishing, boating, motorcycles, anything cars, and times spent in Florida. Some of his life adventures included being a licensed pilot, licensed realtor, racing boats, and traveling all over the United States. He attended Christ Community Church and met weekly with his group of friends in the Guns & Coffee Club.
He is survived by his wife Margie (Sexton-Troxel) Bartley (married December 3, 1983), his children; Stephanie (Ryan) Greene of Wilmington, Torrey Troxel of FL., Terry (Kim Hale) Troxel of Shiloh, Tracy (Tony) Crank of Shiloh, Tonia (Scott) Graybeal of Shiloh; his 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Rosemary (Wolf) Bartley, along with his younger brother, Larry Bartley.
Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
A private graveside service for family will be held at Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville with Pastor Ben Carver officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Ashland Veterans Honor Guard. Online condolences may be left for the family.
