Thonda Jean (Manion) Shearer

Thonda Jean Shearer age 61 of Ashland, passed away peacefully at home after suffering from a long illness.

Born in Ashland on July 27, 1964, she was a lifelong resident of Ashland, where she was a homemaker. Thonda was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Zena. On March 28, 1981 she was married to Steve Shearer who precedes her in death.

She is survived by two sons: Josh (Sarah) Shearer of Ashland and Seth (Shelby) Shearer of Ashland. Her parents, Karen (Paul) Tracy and Gary (Suvon) Manion also survive. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Hope, Autumn, Faith, Jaden, Austin, Kason, and Emery; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Shelly James, Mick (Tonya) Bradshaw, Paul (Carrie) Tracy Jr., Angie Manion, Gary Brian Manion and Shannon Manion.

In addition to her husband Steve, she is preceded in death by daughter, Tara Shearer.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday March 16, 2026 at the Ashland County Memorial Park at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Tracy officiating.
