Timothy A. James Sr., age 63 of Ashland, passed away Christmas morning December 25, 2020 in the arms of his loving wife at Marion General Hospital.
Born December 21, 1957 in Ashland, Ohio the son of Clarence B. and Kay L. (Sponsler)James.
Tim was a 1976 graduate of Ashland High School and was a truck driver most of his life. He had been employed for the last 14 years with Heritage Environmental Waste in Indiana. He loved auto racing, cooking, camping and fishing. He especially enjoyed vacations at Rice Lake, Canada.
He is survived by the love of his life, Bette (Ricer) James whom he married March 9, 1974. Also surviving are two children and their spouses, Timothy A. (Jen) James and Carrie (Rick) Sanders. He is also survived by his mother, Kay James.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Gavin (Halie) Workman, Garrett James, Mackenzie (Keegan) Graybeal, Noah James, Madison Workman, Evan James, Tanner James, Allysen Workman and Adam Workman.
Great grandchildren; Delilah Workman, Landry Graybeal and Bently Workman all of Ashland, and were his everything.
He is also survived by his mother in law, Janet Ricer; brothers, Larry (Sherri) James, Brian (Sharon) James, Jeffery James Sr and Tom (Kim) James; sister in law, Susan Ricer, Diana (Bill) Ensign, Darla Wallace and Kim Trawick. Uncle Ned Sponsler and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by good friends, Kim and Barb Henthorn, Jack and Lisa Heilman of Ashland, Jack (Kathy) Sapp of Pennsylvania and his special pets, Izzy and Trixie.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Clarence James; son, Todd James on February 8, 2014; grandparents, Craig (Martha) Sponsler, Renzie James; father in law, Clarence A. Ricer; brother in law, James Horst; mother in law, Grace Ricer; uncle, David Sponsler; son in law, Allen Workman and special pet, Cody.
