Veronica R. Harvath

Veronica R. Harvath, age 90, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at UH Samaritan Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1931 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Louis and Joan (Takar) Harvath. Veronica had been a lifelong resident of Ashland. She had been employed as Registered Nurse for 43 years with Samaritan Hospital before retiring. She was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. Veronica was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, crochet, and baking. She also had a love for Christmas and decorating for it.

Survivors include her nieces, Barbara (Carl) Kaufman of Ashland and Mary Ann Armstrong of Syracuse, NY.; nephews, Thomas (Christine) Negrete of Ashland, Mike Negrete of Tucson, AZ., Joseph (Joyce) Harvath of Tacoma, WA., John (Karla) Harvath of Anchorage, AK., and William Miller of Medina; along with numerous great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Veronica was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Graveside services will be held at Ashland Cemetery on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Rod Kreidler officiating. Heyl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Veronica’s memory to St. Edward’s School 433 Cottage St. Ashland, Ohio 44805. Online condolences may be left for the family.
