Vivian L. (Kirkpatrick) Stitzel

Vivian L. Stitzel, age 91, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Brethren Care village. She was born in Ashland, the daughter of the late Ira S. and Bertha (Morr) Kirkpatrick. Vivian was a lifelong resident of Ashland and a 1949 graduate of Ashland High School. She was a Bookkeeper for the AAA Auto Club for 30 years before retiring. Vivian was a member of the 1st. Presbyterian Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed Hiking and traveling.

In 1969 Vivian married Charles Deane Stitzel who preceded her in death in 1979. Survivors include her step- daughter, Sandra Cook of N.Y.; step- son, Gary D. Stitzel of Ashland; sisters, Janice Carr of Ashland, and Sandy (Virgil) Sexton of Ashland; along with 2 nieces and 4 nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Charles “Deane”, Vivian was preceded in death by her brother in-law, Gary Carr.

Graveside services will be held at Ashland Cemetery on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 1:00P.M. with Pastor Justin Hylden officiating. Heyl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.heylfuneralhome.com.
