William P. Roberts

William (Bill) P. Roberts, 90, passed away at Brethren Care on December 19, 2019, after a brief illness. Bill was the youngest of five children born to Guy and Mae (Bray) Roberts in Broadhead, KY on December 25, 1928.
Bill served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Rosemary Anderson on July 27, 1952.
Bill moved his family from Kentucky to Ashland, OH to run the One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaners. He retired from the dry cleaning business in 1973 at which time he went to work for Faultless Rubber Company in the Maintenance Department. After retiring from Faultless he did what he loved most which was spending time with his family and friends; working on his woodworking projects in his barn; working for his good friend Adrian Bauer and working at the Gleaner for his dear friends Lou and Margie Krieg.
Bill is survived by his wife, Rosemary, and their four children, Regina (Mike)Welch, Michael (Susan Buffemyer) Roberts, Billie Rader, Joy (Mike) Bachman. Seven Grandchildren, Justin (Lindsay) Garn, Joshua (Kristen) Garn, Shaw Rader, Brock (Amy) Rader, Matt (Emily) Bachman, Joe (Katy) Bachman, Pete (Murphy) Bachman, eight great-grandchildren and his longtime friends, Lou, Margie, Adrian, Troy, Tony, Gary and Leon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sister, John, George, Guy and Jean, and son in law Regg Rader.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brethren Care and Hospice of North Central Ohio for his care and comfort.
Calling hours will be on January 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home with the funeral following at 2pm.
