William "Bill" Foster Liston

William “Bill” Foster Liston, age 74 of Ashland, OH., passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. The son of William Anthony and Evelyn(Foster) Liston he was born August 2, 1941 in Ashland, OH. Mr. Liston had been a resident of Ashland all of his life and formerly worked at Hy-Co and retire in 2006 after 15 years with Plastipack. Bill was a veteran of Viet Nam serving with the US Air Force and then the Army Reserves. He was a life member and former Commander of Ashland V.F.W., a life member of the Ashland AmVets and a former member of American Legion Post #88, Cooties, and the Salvation Army. Mr. Liston enjoyed going on cruise ships, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Liston is survived by daughters: Crystal (Tyler) Moravy of Perrysville and Heather Liston on Arizona; sons: William F. (Vicky) Liston of Florida, Edward A. (Beth) Liston of W.VA., Ronald Liston and Timothy Liston both of Mansfield, OH., and Doug Liston of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Hazel Beyl and Clorita Workman both of Ashland; brother: Edward Hammon of Westlake, OH.; and numerous half brothers and half sisters. Mr. Liston was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Merle D. and Ronald G. Liston; and a grandson, Gage. Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2015 at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, OH., with Retired Major Jackie Toddhunter officiating. Military Honors will be presented after the funeral at the funeral home by the Ashland Veteran Honor Guard. Interment will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, OH. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
