Everett L. Gordon age 73 of Ashland, passed away Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Life Care Hospice.

Born in Ashland on September 5, 1944 the son of Everett J. and Mary (Silsby) Gordon he was an Ashland resident all of his life.

Mr. Gordon had been employed for 27 years with the HYCO Corporation and also was an employee of the City of Ashland.

He was a graduating member of the Ashland High School class of 1962 and served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was also a member of the Ashland Eagles Club.

On September 3, 1966 Everett was married to Joanne Brehm who survives.

In addition to his wife Joanne, Mr. Gordon is survived by one daughter Michelle Gordon of Ashland and one son and daughter in law, Michael (Johneen) Gordon of Wooster. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Baylee, Johna and Erin and four great grandchildren. One brother Richard Gordon also survives.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kenneth Gordon.

A visitation time will be held on Saturday February 3, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions in Everett’s name be given to the following organization, Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691

I knew Ev back in the old Hyco days. I worked there until they closed their doors. I always liked Ev! He was funny and always had a smile on his face. I always considered him a good friend of mine.
I know he will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him.
